| Performance Enhancement Suggestions |
| 1: |
Avoid constant power applications. |
| 2: |
Store cells in a temperature controlled environment at room temperature down to zero degrees Celsius. Keep in mind the effects of temperature on cell performance when a back up battery is used in an environment that requires storage at high temperatures for extended periods. |
| 3: |
To depassivate and reduce effect of voltage delay use a small resistive load on cells that will be stored for extended periods periodically to break down the Solid Electrolyte Interphase forming on the anode. |
| 4: |
Take care to use cells as close to the cells rated performance criteria as possible. Avoid drawing a larger than recommended current from the cell to prevent the permanent effects of cathode freeze over. |
| 5: |
Store cells separately and avoid working with raw cells on metal work surfaces. Never solder directly to the cell can or allow any heat in excess of rated cell temperature to come into contact with the cell. |
